So let's start!
Material you need
FABRIC
The material for this include a dyeable fabric. We have used cotton in this tutorial. You can dye georgette or chiffon too in same way.
DYE
2nd is fabric dye powder. You cannot get a good quality dye online in India. So an easy way for you is to source it from your local dyer from whom you get your dupatta or fabric dyeing done.
You can buy any powder dye for Rs.20-30. a teaspoon full quantity will be enough for you. Prices may vary according to your location.
ICE CUBES
Next are ice cubes. If you are dyeing fabrics like cotton with length range from
3-5 metres then you will need 3 ice cube trays. 2 ice cube trays are enough if you are dyeing a duppatta which could be of 2-2.5 metres.
BUCKET & STRAINER
You will need an old bucket or tub. Prefer old ones as after dying, there will be color stains on your bucket.
And you will need a strainer similar to the one you use for washing your vegetables.
NOTE- Don't use this strainer later in your kitchen. Dye residues are harmful.
